It's easy to not put in the work. It's easy to not invest any time in your audience. It's easy to get caught up in consuming in lieu of creating.

But then we wonder why our audience isn't interacting with us, why we don't have 100,000 followers or why we're not topping the New York Times Bestseller list. The world is saturated with voices, all vying for the attention of everyone else. When we've got the world shouting at us, we choose to weed out 99% of the voices and only listen to the voices that are providing value. Those 500 or so people that we actually listen to are those who have earned our attention. So, ask yourself this:
